OOC was founded in 1999 by Sheila J. Stanek, D.O. Dr. Stanek is a board certified family practitioner who has practiced medicine since 1994 in both the private and public sectors, as both a physician and an administrator.

Dr. Stanek recognized the need for locum tenens coverage from a local company by local physicians. The company began as Oklahoma On Call, Inc. Initially concentrating on the State of Oklahoma, the company has grown to include nationwide coverage. Due to this expansion, the company adopted a dba of “OOC Locum Tenens & Permanent Placement.”

Both the Federal Government and the Oklahoma Department of Commerce certify OOC as a Woman Owned Business.
